Why Clout Browser has two engines

Which engine opens which profile, why there is no toggle, and what that means when you import.

Clout Browser does not have one browser engine. It has two, and which one opens a profile is decided by where the profile came from, not by a setting.

The routing

  • Profiles created in Clout, and AdsPower profiles, open with SunBrowser.
  • Dolphin Anty, Multilogin and GoLogin profiles are converted to the same format and open with SunBrowser.
  • Kameleo profiles keep Kameleo’s format and open with Chroma, from Kameleo’s own installation.

Why there is no toggle

A fingerprint is more than a list of values. Canvas, WebGL image and audio noise are produced by the engine itself, so the same configuration run on a different engine reads differently to a site. Switching engines would quietly give an aged account a new identity. Clout routes from the profile’s stored format instead, so a profile always opens the way it was made.

What this means when you import

An AdsPower profile moves without changing. A Dolphin Anty, Multilogin or GoLogin profile changes on those three surfaces when it is converted, so for an established Creator account, import one, check it, and only then move the rest. A Kameleo profile needs Kameleo’s engine installed on every computer that will run it.

Engines are managed for you

The Browser engines page shows the engines your profiles pin, what is installed on this computer, and what needs attention, with a storage panel that offers to remove an engine nothing uses. The engines guide has the details.
